Katherine is a National Needs Graduate and Postgraduate Fellowship PhD student. She has two major professors, Dr. Bionaz and Dr. Gerd Bobe. In Bionaz's laboratory her project is the evaluation of the effect of milk on childhood obesity; specifically she is studying the effect of miRNA present in exosomes isolated from milk on adipose stem cells.
