Past Project 2018-19: Activation of PPAR by non-esterified fatty acids

Objective: Through a hybrid in vivo-in vitro model elucidate the role of NEFA on PPAR isotypes activation in dairy cows

Using a combination of serum freshly collected from cows, gene reporter technique, and viability assay, we study the role of non-esterified fatty acids and dietary fatty acids on the activation of Peroxisome Proliferator-activated Receptor isotypes

Results are available in: Busato, S., Bionaz, M. The interplay between non-esterified fatty acids and bovine peroxisome proliferator-activated receptors: results of an in vitro hybrid approach. J Animal Sci Biotechnol 11, 91 (2020). https://doi.org/10.1186/s40104-020-00481-y
